Time for a Stroll

June 1, 2008

We all decided to go for a quick walk last night around 7:30. Everyone was pretty wiped - We all took evening flights and came in around 9am in the morning, London time.

So we set off and walked along the Thames... then just kept going and going and going...

Some of the sights:

Crossing Blackfriars Bridge.

Unilever building behind us. Body soap. Roman columns. It's a match!

Big lobster! Every day the artist carves another image in the sand.

Us on a fake grass chair.

Goofy Lou.

Thoughtful Lou.

It's getting darker....

Here are Louis and Ed outlined against the Parliament building (and Big Ben, the bell inside the tower). I am SUCH A GOOD photographer.

Louis took this one.

And this one... The London Eye. Ed says it takes half an hour to make a full revolution.

After we walked down to Westminster Bridge, we took a roundabout way back home through a fun shopping and pub-filled area. We stopped at a few places for f&b before heading back. We walked through Charing Cross (recognize that name, Vus?) and Trafalgar Square. Since my picture-taking thumb also had jet lag, we called it a night on pics.

Four hours later, we arrived back home.... exhausted!

Most unexpected sight? Louis with a can of Foster's in hand most of the walk.

Why? Because that's how it's done here.

The funny thing about it is that it was actually Christina's beer; she just wanted me to hold it for the picture...
